Addressing Racial Trauma Series by Dr. Maryam Jernigan-Noesi
This three-part training series guides participants from foundational awareness to applied practice and systems-level change in addressing racial trauma within justice-involved populations. Participants build a shared understanding of racial trauma, implicit bias, and systemic racism, then develop practical, culturally responsive strategies for client engagement, assessment, and intervention. The series culminates in a focus on reflective practice, organizational accountability, and equity-centered reform, empowering participants to translate knowledge into action. Through case examples, dialogue, and planning, attendees leave with concrete tools, resources, and strategies to promote healing, safety, and systemic responsiveness in justice and behavioral health settings.
